5-TAMRA cadaverine is a building block for used to derivatize carboxyl groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or DCC) or activated esters (e.g. NHS esters) with TAMRA moiety through a stable amide bond. TAMRA (tetramethylrhodamine) is a bright fluorescent label is compatible with various excitation sources including mercury arc, tungsten and xenon arc lamps, the 544 nm line of the Helium-Neon laser and the 532 nm green laser line.
